    How our journey began

    It all began with discovering the exceptionally lustrous hands of artisans who spun silk. This eye-opening moment gave life to a Japanese brand that has since been nurtured in Europe and continues to expand worldwide.

    The predecessor of Kanebo, the Tokyo Cotton Trading Company, is founded.

    Launch of SAVON DE SOIE, the first luxury facial soap featuring ingredients from Japanese silk.

    The predecessor brand of SENSAI, Kanebo, debuts at Harrods in London.

    Launch of SENSAI as part of Kanebo’s line-up.​
    Introduction of our original counselling service inspired by Omotenashi, the Japanese spirit of hospitality.

    1989

    Launch of SENSAI EX La Crème, a signature product that establishes SENSAI as a prestige cosmetics brand in Europe.
