The experience of the tea ceremony begins before entering the tea house. As a custom, attendees are required to wash their hands and cleanse their mouths at a stone wash basin before proceeding to the tearoom - an etiquette that symbolises the purification of both body and spirit.

Inspired by this preparatory ritual is Double Cleansing - our two-step routine that thoroughly cleanses and purifies the skin in preparation for the treatments that follow. Borrowing from the spiritual significance, impurities are gently lifted away, preparing the skin to receive the care that follows.

During the Japanese tea ceremony, the enjoyment of tea is enriched through a two-step process: first, a sweet confection prepares the palate, followed by the tea itself, creating a harmonious balance of flavours.
